Curse of the Allflame launched July 24, 2026. The guide now covers live mechanics.
The guide includes GGG changes from 3.29.0b through 3.29.3.
League mapping, currency conversion, and price checks must pass before calculators use 3.29 data.
Run Charts to collect Dead Man's Sulphur and reveal modifiers for nine-tile Voyages. Use a fast build for repeat Charts, then add Cursed Ducats when their difficulty modifiers fit your character.
Farm Dead Man’s Sulphur, Messages in a Bottle, Voyage rewards, and Cursed Ducats.
Chart purchase prices and the currency used to roll them.
A fast character that can escape the collapse and absorb the difficulty from selected Cursed Ducats.
Compare Chart costs with Sulphur and Bottle prices before buying a batch.
Valuable strongboxes now appear by default above area level 67. GGG also added more currency, Scarab, Stacked Deck, and map chests, raised Chart quantity and rarity modifiers by 20% to 40%, and added 20% to 40% more lootable objects.
Official patch notesBathyspheres can launch Charts, dead ends and long straight paths appear less often, and the first area-shrink stage takes 60% longer.
Official patch notesThe patch added Eldritch Depths Charts, Ukatoa's Ducat, Sunken Opulence and Sunken Gems chests, currency-conversion altars, and Allflame Ancient Orbs and Orbs of Chance.
Official patch notesLanterns no longer point to Shrines or Crab Nests, Chart purchase fees cost less gold, and the map HUD now has a Voyage button.
Official patch notesChart modifiers that previously promised increased gold now grant increased item rarity. Offerings to the Deep have a 10% currency-conversion chance, or 20% when Empowered, but appear less often.
Official patch notesThe backup Capsule can now end an encounter before every lantern is placed. Capsules support shared party deposits, loot claims gained a take-all button, and Charted Chart storage doubled.
Official patch notesSocket up to three Cursed Ducats in the Voyage Planner. Each stacks monster Toughness, item quantity, item rarity, and a separate difficulty modifier, so choose downsides your build can handle.
Official patch notesDefeating Velka grants the first Cursed Ducat. Further Cursed Ducats can appear in Charts or Voyages while one is socketed, and holding Alt shows all 12 Border Modifiers at once.
Official patch notesGet a Chart from Cursed Treasure or the trade market, then roll it to match the risk and rewards your build can handle.
After defeating Velka, socket zero to three Cursed Ducats in the Voyage Planner. Add them gradually and avoid difficulty modifiers that directly counter your build.
Launch it from a Bathysphere. Follow the lantern-marked objectives, collect Sulphur, and take the reward rooms that fit your route.
Escape each Chart to mark it as Charted. Arrange nine Charted items on the Voyage board, then hold Alt to review all 12 Border Modifiers alongside their connections.
Route through valuable nodes and use Capsules to bank loot. Treat each board as its own puzzle because its layouts and modifiers change.
Roll runnable Charts, follow the lantern route, and leave after you secure the rewards. Repeat until nine Charts are ready, then run the Voyage. Use the backup Capsule if the route becomes unsafe. This method suits builds that clear Charts faster than they can optimize each board.
Watch the 100-Chart testHold Alt to review all 12 Border Modifiers, then place valuable rooms where adjacency and reward modifiers support them. Add Cursed Ducats only when their downsides fit the build and the extra monster Toughness does not compromise the route.
Defeat Velka and claim the first Cursed Ducat from Valerie. Keep at least one socketed so more can appear, then scale toward three only when your build can handle their stacking Toughness and individual difficulty modifiers.
Read the official 3.29.3 rulesTwo players reported the results below during launch week. Both samples predate the 3.29.2 reward changes and 3.29.3 Cursed Ducats, so use them as historical test cases and calculate current costs, run time, and sale prices yourself.
Empyriangaming reported the following result from a fast character using a simple Chart-and-go method. He valued the drops with prices from his recording. Treat the result as a dated case study rather than a PoeHow expected-profit figure.

Watch the calculation and methodReddit user onemmrplayer targeted Seabed Charts with at least 100% Item Quantity and 70% Dead Man's Sulphur. The author followed lantern flames, skipped most monsters, and sold Messages in a Bottle instead of opening them.

One-day claimFor Grand Voyages, the author searched for Bottle, Divine, or Operative modifiers and used a snake layout when none appeared. The author reports about 200 Divines in one day and gives no itemized run log or total session hours. PoeHow has not verified the result. Check Chart, Sulphur, and Bottle prices before running the method.

A gem can use any socket color; only a matching color grants the color bonus. When a colored socket appears, its color is still weighted by the item's attribute requirements.
The Vaal socket outcome creates one random red, green, or blue socket without attribute weighting. A Chromatic Orb guarantees one colored socket, while bench crafts can guarantee two or three.
Diala's Malefaction now grants 20% quality from its green-socket modifier instead of 30%. Skin of the Loyal and Skin of the Lords now generate with six colored sockets.
Charts are fully tradable and can be stockpiled while mapping. Each Voyage is assembled from nine Charts.
Allflame crafting repeats the selected currency action against the original item, and its separate outcomes do not block one another.
Vaal Orbs do not work with Allflame crafting. Crafting inputs that produce more than one output are also unsupported.
Abyss completion chests now use defined reward categories, and the rework adds a pinnacle boss. Existing Abyss liches keep their drops. Accessing the pinnacle boss involves a small puzzle whose solution was not disclosed.
Eligible uncorrupted Unique armour can be enshrouded into a random core-drop Unique of the same armour category. The output gains a designated modifier from the input as an implicit.
Temporary Mercenaries begin appearing in Act 3 and help for the rest of the current area. Their fixed equipment lets GGG balance them more strongly than permanent hires.
Transfigured skill gems no longer drop from Heist and instead return to Mercenaries in 3.29.
GGG is removing non-Unique synthesized implicit bases from the general item system. Synthesis Unique items remain unchanged and can still carry synthesis implicits.
The crafting bench now appears in every town so players are more likely to discover it. New Chaos crafts replace one modifier with one or replace three modifiers with three.
GGG plans to add in-game price checking to Path of Exile 1 but gave no release timing. Mark Roberts said his goal is to deliver at least part of the build planner by 3.30, while emphasizing that the target is not firm.
Supported terms in Path of Exile 1 item descriptions now show definitions on hover. The initial keyword coverage is incomplete.
